Underrepresented minority students ages 10 through 15 from the Puget Sound Area
What?
SHPE PSC is hosting a technology competition targeting students between the ages of 10 and 15. The objective of the competition is to teach students to learn computer technologies in the process of making a movie, challenging them to use their creativity and to think on their feet. Students will be given the opportunity to interact with professional mentors from the Puget Sound community as they take on the challenge of creating their own movies.
Students will be asked to search the Internet for images and audio, they will also be provided digital cameras to take video and pictures to incorporate into their project in Movie Maker. The topics, for which they will be asked to create a movie, include:
• Leadership
• Green Initiatives
• Impact of Technology
